Engineering that starts with a real need

The Smart Helmet project addresses a practical question: how can technology help connect people working in the field with the information and expertise they need? Aslan’s work combines software engineering, IoT, RFID and real-time location technologies. His experience in IT management has also connected technical design with everyday operational needs. This perspective provides a useful starting point for thinking about a city as a network of people, services and physical places.

From prototype to a wider ecosystem

Aslan has led the development and commercialisation of the TÜBİTAK-supported Smart Helmet innovation project, contributing to its journey from prototype to product and from Türkiye to international markets. That journey highlights the importance of testing ideas against real conditions. AIVORIA applies the same spirit of practical inquiry to a broader concept: a human-centred AI city where research and daily life can inform one another.

Connecting the Institute, University and city vision

Through AI Vision Institute of Technology and AI Vision University, Aslan aims to connect research, education and technology development. His educational experience in artificial intelligence at the University of Oxford is part of the wider background described in his professional biography. For AIVORIA, the immediate ambition is to bring disciplines together and develop a clearer understanding of how learning, robotics, infrastructure and inclusive services could work as one ecosystem.

A human-centred view of progress

AIVORIA’s visualisations include laboratories, accessible public spaces, sustainable neighbourhoods and people interacting with assistive technology. They express the intended direction of the concept. Aslan’s wider outlook places responsibility, long-term development and contributing to society alongside technical capability. He has lived in the United Kingdom with his family since 2020, is married and is a father of three.

The next step is collaboration

The AIVORIA development vision is intended to be explored with potential host countries, public institutions, universities, investors and technology partners. Aslan’s journey from connected-worker technology to a city-scale idea creates a starting point for that dialogue.
